Agreement
By creating an account or using Appléo, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
These terms apply to individuals. If you're agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
The product
Appléo is an online service for managing your resume and job search. You create an account and an agent works with you — writing, tailoring, tracking, and rendering your resume. It's free to start with trial credits; paid plans add a larger monthly allowance of agent credits.
Subscriptions and credits are sold and managed through Polar, which acts as the merchant of record for the sale; plans renew until canceled. You can export your data at any time — it's yours. Appléo also includes a command-line tool for people who want to run the same engine in their own terminal; that tool is licensed to you for your own use under these terms.
The service is provided commercially under these terms.
Acceptable use
Don't use Appléo to:
- Generate or distribute resumes that misrepresent someone's identity, qualifications, or work history.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or circumvent the service, its access controls, or the CLI's license check.
- Resell or redistribute the service, the CLI, the templates, or the Match output.
- Anything illegal under applicable law.
We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access that violates these limits. We'll tell you why.
Your content
Everything you put into Appléo — your profile, your variants, your tracked jobs, your custom template tweaks — is yours. We claim no ownership of your content. We store it to run the service for you; you can export or delete it at any time, and deleting your account removes it.
We do not use your content to train AI models. See the privacy policy for the full statement.
Billing and cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance through Polar at the rate shown at checkout. Monthly plans renew monthly; annual plans renew annually. The credits included with your plan refresh each billing period; any top-up credits you buy separately don't expire.
You can change your plan or cancel at any time from the Polar customer portal. Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current period; you keep your plan until the period ends. We don't issue partial refunds on monthly subscriptions. For annual plans, contact us within 30 days of purchase if something is wrong and we'll work it out.
Support
Support is included with your subscription. The primary channel is email at hello@appleo.ai. We aim to reply within one business day.
We don't promise specific response or resolution times, but we read every email a human writes, and we don't filter you through a ticket queue.
Warranties and disclaimers
We provide the service "as is." We aim for it to be reliable, accurate, and useful, but we do not warrant that it will always be available, always be error-free, or always produce the output you expected. The Match score is a thinking aid, not a hiring oracle.
Specifically: we do not promise that using Appléo will result in any specific job-application outcome — additional interviews, faster hiring, or any other career result. Such promises are outside what the service can underwrite, and we don't make them.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including for fraud or intentional misconduct.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service changes or when the law requires it. The updated terms take effect for new use after the change. Continued use after the effective date is your acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree, the cancellation and export paths apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Appléo is incorporated, excluding its conflict-of-laws provisions. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer-protection law gives you a right to a different forum.
