1. Agreement
By creating an account, downloading Local, or using the Chrome extension, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use the product.
These terms apply to individuals. If you're agreeing on behalf of a company (a Teams account, for example), you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
2. Our products
resume-as-code is offered as two products built on the same data format and feature set: Cloud (a hosted web service) and Local (a downloadable application). Teams is a multi-seat configuration of Cloud. A Chrome extension is included with both products to capture jobs from any job board into your account's queue. All offerings are commercial products. Use is governed by these terms, the privacy policy, and the plan-specific commitments shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew until canceled. You can export a complete copy of your data at any time.
3. Your account
Every user has a resume-as-code account. The account is free by default; subscriptions activate the product. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for any activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
One person, one account. Sharing a paid account across multiple individuals violates these terms. If you're a team, Teams is the right tier; if you have legitimate multi-device usage, that's covered by your single subscription.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use resume-as-code to:
- Generate or distribute resumes that misrepresent someone's identity, qualifications, or work history.
- Run automated bulk applications or otherwise misuse the job-capture queue.
- Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or interfere with our infrastructure or our AI service.
- Scrape, resell, or redistribute the product, the templates, or the Match Analysis output.
- Anything illegal under applicable law, or anything that would cause us to violate our other users' privacy or our own legal obligations.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these limits. We'll tell you why; we won't lock you out without explanation.
5. Your content
Everything you put into resume-as-code — your profile, your variants, your saved jobs, your custom template tweaks — is yours. We claim no ownership of your content. We need a limited license to store and process it so the product works (host it on Cloud, render it through templates, run it through Match Analysis). That license ends when you delete the content or close the account.
We do not use your content to train AI models. See the privacy policy for the full statement.
6. Billing and cancellation
Subscriptions are billed in advance at the rate shown at checkout. Monthly plans renew monthly; annual plans renew annually. Teams plans are billed annually per seat. Local one-time purchases are billed once and include twelve months of updates; further updates are optional and separately billable.
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current period; you keep the product until the period ends. We don't issue partial refunds on monthly subscriptions. For annual plans, contact us within 30 days of purchase if something is wrong and we'll work it out.
If a payment fails, we'll email you, retry, and pause the subscription if it can't be resolved. We don't escalate.
7. Support
Support is included with every paid subscription. The primary channel is email at hello@resume-as-code.dev. We aim to reply within one business day; Teams subscriptions get a dedicated support contact.
We don't promise specific response or resolution times for individual subscriptions. We do read every email a human writes, and we don't filter you through a ticket queue.
8. Warranties and disclaimers
We provide the product "as is." We aim for it to be reliable, accurate, and useful, but we do not warrant that it will always be available, always be error-free, or always produce the output you expected. The Match Analysis is a thinking aid, not a hiring oracle.
Specifically: we do not promise that using resume-as-code will result in any specific job-application outcome — additional interviews, faster hiring, or any other career result. Such promises are outside what the product can underwrite, and we don't make them. See the homepage and FAQ for the longer statement of what we promise and don't.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the product is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including for fraud or intentional misconduct.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the product changes or when the law requires it. Material changes get a notice in-product and an email to your account address; the updated terms take effect for new use after the notice. Continued use after the effective date is your acceptance of the updated terms. If you disagree, the cancellation and export paths apply.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where resume-as-code is incorporated, excluding its conflict-of-laws provisions. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer-protection law gives you a right to a different forum.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms, legal correspondence, or any other formal matter: email hello@resume-as-code.dev with subject "Legal". For day-to-day support, use the general contact at /contact.
